25+ years in marketing, business & product development

My agency life set me up for having a portfolio career, and for the last decade, I have largely worked for myself.

I’ve won, managed and delivered for clients for some of the top global marketing agencies - such as M&C Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Arc Worldwide and RPM. I have also worked for boutique agencies, set up a network of Anywhere working freelancers and flown solo as an independent consultant and business.

I’ve worked with global corporates, central government and large stakeholder charities, as well as start-ups, SMEs and sole traders. On one hand I’ve juggled several multi-million pound budgets concurrently and on the other I have started from a blank piece of paper with less than nothing. I’ve seen businesses grow to be the best in their class, and also to fail, and why they failed.

I am as comfortable in the boardroom as I am taking a hands on approach with practical skills to get things done.

Work I have led has been recognised for awards in sustainability, tourism, attractions, retail, food, FMCG, experiential, events, technology and innovation.

Along the way I have also stopped to particularly invest in a few businesses that have interested me. I was a rainmaker director in growing one business from scratch into the largest youth expedition provider in the UK, and an innovation and immersive experience company which grew to open in 17 countries worldwide.
